Selection of students under RTE (Right for Education) for the academic year 2014-15, was held at Anugraha School, Halbarga – Bidar on 20th February, 2014 at 11.30 a.m. We received 68 applications and all the applicants were invited to this gathering which was presided over by the Block Education Officer Mr. Prakash Dongre of Bhalki Taluk. In order to prove 100% transparency, the procedure for selection was observed meticulously in front of everyone gathered. The school could select 15 students out of which 1 from Scheduled Tribe, 4 from Scheduled Caste and remaining 10 from general category. The BEO praised the school authorities for showing total transparency in the selection and said this is the first school that he attended to select the students under RTE. Mr. Maruthi Rao Vage, the ECO, Bro. Victor Crasta, the school principal, Sr. Anitta, DSS, the superior of Sneha Sadan Convent and Fr. Lourdswamy were present on the dais. Mr. Naveen Nazareth compered the programme.
