Birthday to Lord and Lady Baden Powell, the founders’ of Scouts & Guides Movement was celebrated in a grand scale at Anugraha School, Halbarga, Bidar by the newly formed Cubs and Bulbuls. At 9.30 am. Fr. Joseph Rodrigues, the director of Infant Jesus Shrine at Bhalki hoisted the scouts and guides flag. Nilesh of Std. II dressed as Lord Baden Powell and Pavithra of Std. I dressed as Lady Baden Powell cut the birthday cake and wished each other when all sang them Happy Birthday. A short cultural programme depicting the activities and importance of Scouts & Guides was held. Fr. Joseph and Fr. Clary D’Souza praised the Cubs and Bulbuls and wished them well.

Later all the 32 cubs and 16 Bulbuls together with the cub master and flock leader went on for hiking to Bidar city as part and parcel of their activities. They visited the prestigious St. Joseph’s Educational Institutions and had interaction with the Scouts and Guides family over there. Then they proceeded to the city park and had various games. At the end they gave a new look to the park by cleaning and removing all the plastic bags.
