Independence Day at Anugraha:-
69th Independence Day was celebrated at Anugraha School, Halbarga –
Bidar, in a grand and unique way. Hoisting the national flag was done by
Rev. Sr. Cynthia Suares, UFS, the Guides Training Commissioner.
Colourful cultural programmes of various kinds were exhibited by the
tiny tots.
After the school programme 20 Cubs anad 20 Bulbuls accompanied by the
Scout Masters, cubs Masters, Guide Captains and Flock Leaders went to
Bhalki to take part in the Taluk level programme. This is for the first
time our school was chosen to take part in the parade. The local MLA Mr.
Eshwar Khandre and also our BEO Mr. Nagraj C. selected our school
because of the activities of the Scouts & Guides (Cubs & Bulbuls). Our
tiny tots presented an action song near the statue of Dr. Ambedkar on
the main road and later took part in the march past at the stadium. To
our surprise, ours was the only school in the entire programme that
participated as Scouts & Guides. The dance of the children with Scouts &
Guides uniform caught the attention of every one gathered and the MLA
declared it as the best programme of the day. We are grateful to all
those who prayed for us, sponsored our programme and in a very special
way we express our gratitude to Sr. Cynthia who trained our children for
this programme.
